EU Backs Greek Push to Ease Budget Rules Over Energy Crisis, Mitsotakis Says
European Union leaders have backed a Greek proposal to temporarily relax the bloc's budget rules so that countries with surpluses can help households and businesses through the energy crisis, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said. In his weekly online address, Mr. Mitsotakis said the EU summit that ended Friday asked the European Commission to come forward quickly with proposals on the issue.
