Americans to vote in US midterms: Trump's Republicans scramble to stop Democratic wave

Republicans made a final push to avoid a predicted thumping in the US midterm elections, as Democrats seek to win control of Congress. A Democratic-controlled House would impose the first real political constraints on President Donald Trump since he returned to office in 2025.
