Vance eyes own trail in America First politics in Republican rout

What continues to work for Mr. Vance is that he manages to challenge and critique Mr. Trump without triggering a meltdown from the latter. Whether he can continue in that manner all the way to the 2028 election remains to be seen. But Mr. Vance would be perfectly capable of carrying forward his own version of America First without Mr. Trump
