Marco Rubio denies plans to resign as 2028 speculation grows

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed reports on Thursday that he planned to leave the administration after Republican midterm losses, telling The New York Times he intended to serve through the end of President Donald Trump’s term. Rubio, a potential presidential candidate in 2028, declined to discuss his plans.
