Palestinian-led party backs Eisenkot to form Israeli government Mansour Abbas, leader of the Palestinian-led Ra’am party, endorsed Gadi Eisenkot to form Israel’s next government on the second day of consultations with President Isaac Herzog in Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has gone on the offensive against Palestinian-majority parties, accusing them of accepting foreign funding ahead of last week’s elections, in which Palestinian voters turned out in record numbers.
