Veel coureurs in de MotoGP voelen in Qatar de spanning van de oorlog in het Midden-Oosten, die heel dichtbij is. "Dit is niet ideaal, de meeste coureurs willen hier eigenlijk niet zijn", vertelde de Spaanse motorracer Raúl Fernández (Aprilia) op het circuit van Lusail nabij hoofdstad Doha aan motorsport.com.
