Shipowner Yiannis Karageorgis’s appeal to the Dutch Supreme Court seeking a reduction of his sentence in the Lyempf case earned him just one month off his prison term. Greece’s Supreme Court, the Areios Pagos, had previously shielded him from extradition to the Netherlands.
