Erdogan tells Trump Turkey will keep pushing for US-Iran peace Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told US President Donald Trump in a phone call that Ankara would continue its peace efforts and that tensions between Iran and the United States should be resolved through diplomacy, his office said on Saturday. According to a readout from the Turkish presidency, Erdogan also said Turkey would keep contributing to efforts to end the war in Ukraine, adding that contacts with both Kyiv and Moscow should be intensified.
