LAHORE: The Punjab government issued an order on Tuesday banning the use and sale of camera-enabled smart glasses and “miniature cameras with recording ability disguised as everyday objects” within the province for 30 days. The restriction was notified in an order by the Punjab Home Department, in exercise of powers conferred under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898. “No person shall wear or operate ‘camera-enabled smart glasses with hidden recording ability’ OR ‘miniature cameras with recording ability disguised as everyday objects such as pen, keychain, etc.’,” the order sai
