AAIB asks Alliance Air to ‘strengthen simulator training’ for pilots in serious incident probe report

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has recommended enhanced simulator training for Alliance Air pilots after a serious incident. On October 8, 2024, an Alliance ATR undershot the runway at Bhubaneswar due to severe rain. Pilots struggled with communication and situational awareness, leading to complications during landing. The investigation noted contributing weather factors such as turbulence and low visibility.
