Volksgezondheidsorganisatie CDC van de Afrikaanse Unie onderzoekt hoe het ebolavirus in Nigeria terecht is gekomen. Het land in West-Afrika meldde deze week de eerste ebolabesmetting. Tot nu toe waren op het Afrikaanse continent enkel Centraal- en Oost-Afrika geraakt, met de Democratische Republiek Congo als epicentrum. De besmette vrouw die nu in een ziekenhuis in de Nigeriaanse stad Abuja ligt, lijkt nooit in de Democratische Republiek Congo te zijn geweest.
