Ho Chi Minh City records over 42,000 hand, foot, mouth disease cases
Ho Chi Minh City recorded 42,315 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease as of October 18, a 64.5-percent increase from the same period last year, with health authorities detecting 60 samples positive for Enterovirus 71 (EV71), a strain associated with severe illness and potentially fatal complications.
