IMO Chief Says Strait of Hormuz Remains Unsafe

International Maritime Organization Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez tells Bloomberg This Weekend that the Strait of Hormuz remains unsafe for commercial shipping, with vessel traffic sharply below pre-conflict levels as attacks, mines and other hazards threaten ships and seafarers. Speaking with hosts David Gura and Lisa Mateo, Dominguez says the disruption is raising global fuel and shipping costs while forcing the industry to develop alternative routes and strengthen supply-chain resilience.
