Lithuanian schools face a dilemma: embrace Halloween or stick to local traditions?
Schools are deciding whether to celebrate Halloween. Some are changing its name and finding ways to adapt the festivities to their communities, while others are taking pupils to clean up graves. The Education Ministry does not ban Halloween celebrations in schools, but has sent them reminders that Lithuanian traditions should take priority.
